WTO Young Professionals Programme 2027 for Early-Career Professionals (Paid Placement)

The WTO Young Professionals Programme (YPP) 2027 offers a one-year professional placement in Geneva for early-career candidates in trade-related fields. This program aims to enhance geographical representation within the WTO Secretariat while providing participants with valuable work experience in a multilateral environment.

Selected candidates will engage in various areas of work related to trade policy, research, and negotiations, contributing to the ongoing efforts of the WTO while gaining insights into international trade processes.

Applicants must:

• Be a national of a WTO member country
• Be 32 years or younger as of 1 January 2027
• Hold an advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in a relevant field
• Have at least two years of relevant professional experience
• Demonstrate interest in international trade
• Be fluent in English (knowledge of French or Spanish is an advantage)

The program offers a monthly salary of approximately CHF 4,000.
